Stumble Upon

While on stumble upon, I came across a map of the United States that was divided into regions by the football team that is most popular in that region. For example, in the northeast there is a region with the Patriot logo, a region with the Jets logo, an area with the Giants logo, and an area with the Bills logo.

I also came across a video for a rain delay for a college baseball game. This video consists of a roller coaster ride, a moshpit, a "gunfight" using bats, and a dance party. This is a very entertaining video and was pretty funny to watch.

a blog that hits close to home

"I've never spent this much time talking to my cousin." When I read this it made me think about our family relationships. How much do we take our family for granted? This quote is from a post on my aunt's blog talking about right after my cousin suffered from a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the chest down. I read this quote and thought about us growing up. He is about 4 years older than me with his sister in between us. I think about times when we would play hide and seek in my grandma's house and the time that he helped me hide in the dryer. I think about how most of these memories occur during the holidays and the fact that anytime we would go to his hockey games or hear about his tennis match or a ski race, it was rarely followed up with a great amount of time spent together after. This blog is about not taking your family for granted and cherishing all of the time that you spend together.

introduction

I'm a huge sport fan and love my teams and hate my rivals like any avid fan. My favorite teams include the Yankees, Jets, Braves, Red Bulls, and the US National Soccer Team. The main reason that I love my teams are my family. My parents have been taking me to Yankee games since I was 6 months old which is a huge influence  on my life. I have also been exposed to many things that most other people my age have not, I have gone to wheelchair rugby tournaments and I was even at David Wells' perfect game. I feel like I can use social media when it comes to my interest in public relations with sports. Social Media is growing and will help sports teams to get stories and news out faster and more effectively. Social media is the future of the sports industry as well as many other industries around the world.
